About Heather
Heather Macre fights for the people of Arizona every day, emphasizing integrity, transparency, and sustainability. She has represented Maricopa County on the Central Arizona Water Conservation District Board of Directors since getting elected in 2012. She is a partner at the Fennemore law firm and spends her free time raising money for children in the community through Suns Charities 88. Heather and her husband Steven are parents to Dorothy and four rescue dogs.

- Heather served as part of the Customer Service Task Force to increase stakeholder engagement.
- Heather created the CAP 101 program, a series of free webinars that are open to the public to share information about what CAP does as well as specific aspects of its work.
INCREASED CONSERVATION:
- Heather chaired the Communications Task Force which launched the statewide, award-winning “Protect Lake Mead” campaign.
- Heather helped negotiate and finalize the federal and state Drought Contingency Plans to preserve water resources in Arizona and the Colorado River Basin.
INCREASED ENERGY SUSTAINABILITY:
- Heather co-chaired the Power Task Force, which planned a diversified and innovative portfolio including renewable sources.
